Vasomotorische Rhinitis

Definition:
Ganzjährig auftretende, nichtallergisch sowie nichtinfektbedingte Rhinitis weitgehend unklarer Ätiologie. Es handelt sich um eine Ausschlussdiagnose.
Häufigkeit:
Die vasomotorische Rhinitis ist die häufigste Form der nicht-allergischen Rhinitis.
Symptome:
Eine unterschiedlich stark verstopfte Nase und teilweise reichlich flüssiges Sekret. Niesen, Jucken in der Nase und konjunktivale Irritation treten seltener auf.
Befunde:
Meist unauffälliger Schleimhautbefund. Es können jedoch Schwellungen und Rötungen auftreten; ggf. vermehrte Gefäßzeichnung der Schleimhaut und Schwellung von Adenoiden.
Diagnostik:
Es gibt keine spezifischen Tests, um eine vasomotorische Rhinitis zu diagnostizieren. Eine allergologische Untersuchung mittels Prick-Test und/oder Bestimmung von IgE Antikörpern kann in Erwägung gezogen werden, um eine allergische Rhinitis auszuschließen.
Therapie:
Auslösende Faktoren meiden. Symptomatische Behandlung mit lokalen Glukokortikoiden, Anticholinergika, Sympathomimetika oder Antihistaminika. Operative Therapie.
