Schafpocken (Orfvirus-Infektion)

Definition:
Hauterkrankung an den Händen nach Ansteckung mit dem Orfvirus durch Kontakt mit Schafen oder Ziegen.
Häufigkeit:
Orf kommt weltweit vor. Für Deutschland liegen keine epidemiologischen Daten vor.
Symptome:
Tritt in der Regel in Form von kleinen, aber schnell wachsenden Papeln oder Pusteln auf der Rückseite der Finger oder Hand meist innerhalb von einer Woche nach dem Kontakt mit einem infizierten Tier oder kontaminiertem Material auf.
Befunde:
Solitäre oder einige wenige Läsionen an den Fingern, Händen oder Unterarmen.
Diagnostik:
Virusnachweis mittels PCR.
Therapie:
Schafpocken heilen von selbst aus, eine symptomatische Behandlung mit Feuchtverbänden, lokalen Antiseptika und Immobilisierung der Finger ist jedoch sinnvoll.
