Vasektomie, Sterilisation des Mannes

Definition:
Vasektomie ist eine sichere und wirksame Verhütungsmethode
Häufigkeit:
In Deutschland verhüten ca. 5 % der Männer mittels Vasektomie.
Symptome:
Der Patient sollte Im Vorfeld der Operation gründlich über die Auswirkungen, Nebenwirkungen und die notwendigen Kontrolluntersuchungen informiert werden.
Befunde:
Es gibt keine absoluten Kontraindikationen.
Diagnose:
Die Operation wird in der Regel in Lokalanästhesie durchgeführt. Der Eingriff umfasst das Entfernen eines kleinen Teils des Vas deferens auf beiden Seiten sowie das Verschließen der proximalen Enden.
Behandlung:
Die Operation ist meistens komplikationslos. Der Pear-Index liegt bei 0,1 -  vorausgesetzt, dass das Ejakulat drei Monate nach der Operation spermienfrei war.
