Dystonien

Definition:
Erkrankung mit unwillkürlichen, drehenden, anhaltenden Muskelkontraktionen als isoliertes Phänomen oder aufgrund zugrunde liegender neurologischer Störungen.
Häufigkeit:
Chronische Dystonie tritt bei ca. 30/100.000 Menschen auf.
Symptome:
Drehende wiederholte Bewegungen der betroffenen Körperregion, häufig in Kombination mit veränderter Körperhaltung.
Befunde:
Unwillkürliche Bewegungen der Muskulatur in Gesicht, Halsbereich, Armen, Händen und Füßen.
Diagnostik:
Genetische Untersuchung, weiterhin orientierend MRT und Laboruntersuchungen zum Ausschluss von Differenzialdiagnosen.
Therapie:
Symptomatische Therapie in den meisten Fällen. Kausale Therapie bei doparesponsiver Dystonie und Morbus Wilson. Alternative Therapiemöglichkeiten mittels Botox-Injektionen und tiefer Hirnstimulation.
