Definition:
Implantation des befruchteten Eis außerhalb der Gebärmutterhöhle. In 95 % der Fälle nistet sich das Ei in einer Tube ein.
Häufigkeit:
Die Prävalenz beträgt schätzungsweise 1–2 % aller Schwangerschaften.
Symptome:
Die klassische Symptomtriade umfasst Ausbleiben der Menstruation, Schmerzen und  Vaginalblutung  in der 6.–8. Schwangerschaftswoche.
Befunde:
Vaginale Blutungen, Druckschmerz und lokale Resistenz auf bis hin zum akuten Abdomen.
Diagnostik:
Sonografie und Bestimmung des Beta-hCG.
Therapie:
Operativ oder medikamentös mit Methotrexat.
